Make-A-Will Month (August) is a national awareness campaign that encourages individuals to create or update their wills and estate plans. The goal is to help people protect their loved ones, clarify their wishes, and consider the legacy they want to leave—including support for the causes and communities that matter most to them.

For YWCA Local Associations, Make-A-Will Month is a powerful opportunity to connect planned giving with mission impact. It allows us to invite supporters to extend their commitment beyond their lifetime and ensure that YWCA’s work to eliminate racism, empower women, and advance justice continues for future generations.

Why It Matters

YWCA provides essential services in communities across the country, including support for survivors of violence, economic empowerment programs, early childhood education, and racial justice advocacy. Planned gifts help ensure this work continues for generations to come.
